Spirituality

Dr. Thakur’s worldview and leadership are deeply influenced by spiritual values, shaped by his early initiation into Kriya Yoga at the age of nine.

He resonates deeply with Sri Aurobindo’s interpretation of spirituality as:

  • An awakening to one’s inner reality beyond mind, life, and body,
  • A growing aspiration to know and experience the soul,
  • A conscious communion and union with the greater Reality,
  • A transformative evolution into a new, higher state of being.

Spirituality, for him, is not withdrawal from life—but the transformation of mind, body, and emotions into instruments of the inner self, while living an engaged worldly life.

Kriya Yoga

Following the lineage of Mahavatar Babaji and Lahiri Mahasaya, Kriya Yoga focuses on inner evolution through disciplined meditative practices. As described by Paramhansa Yogananda:

“The Kriya Yogi mentally directs life energy through the spinal centers…
Half a minute of one Kriya brings the equivalent of one year of natural spiritual growth.”

This spiritual grounding shapes Dr. Thakur’s approach to leadership, teaching, and personal conduct, contributing to his calm, balanced, and values-driven professional style
