
Ritu Thakur, wife of Dr. Rajiv R. Thakur, holds a Master’s degree in Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed). An alumna of Patna University and St. Joseph’s Convent, Patna, she has dedicated her life to education, social service, and creative pursuits.
She runs her own philanthropic initiative, RituvasantPathshala, which works with children from underprivileged communities by providing academic support and skill-based learning. Beyond teaching, she plays an active role in conceptualizing and organizing various developmental activities for the children. Her experience spans teaching in schools as well as contributing significantly to NGOs, earning her deep respect for her commitment, teaching expertise, and vocational skills.
Earlier, she was associated with Sarthak Prayas, an NGO focused on the education and welfare of underprivileged children. She also taught at Vivekananda School, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad (2005–07). During her stay in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, she taught at Kids Garden and Hamsha Vahini Public School.
Ritu has also pursued professional courses in culinary arts, including bakery, chocolate-making, and Chinese cuisine. A gifted artist, she specializes in tile painting, craftwork, and bread craft. Her interests include music, dance, drama, embroidery, and other creative crafts. With previous entrepreneurial experience, she brings passion and versatility to everything she undertakes.
A devoted homemaker and a supportive pillar of her family, she has played a central role in nurturing her daughter and building a warm, harmonious home. Affectionate and approachable, she is admired for her pleasant personality and her ability to connect with people effortlessly.
She belongs to a well-known family of astrologers, carrying forward the distinguished lineage of Gopesh Kumar Ojha.
