Father – Late Shri Ishwar Chandra Thakur
Late Shri Ishwar Chandra Thakur was a generous-hearted and principled individual who played a defining role in shaping Dr. Rajiv’s academic and professional journey. A distinguished member of the Bihar Administrative Service, he retired as Joint Secretary, Government of Bihar.
He was widely respected for his integrity, developmental work, and unwavering commitment to public welfare. Throughout his illustrious career, he served in key positions in the Cabinet Secretariat, Bihar Public Service Commission, and as ADM and SDM across several districts including Patna, Bhagalpur, Jamui, Ranchi, Giridih, Deogarh, Samastipur, and Palamu.
Even after his passing in 2008, he is fondly remembered for his honesty, dedication, and deep concern for common people.
Mother – Smt. Godavari Thakur
Smt. Godavari Thakur is a warm and graceful lady who has been the backbone of the family. A devoted homemaker, she played a significant role in nurturing and shaping Dr. Rajiv Thakur since his childhood. She hails from Pakaria Village in the Uda Kishunganjsubdivision of Madhepura District in North Bihar and is the eldest daughter of her parents. Her values, affection, and guidance continue to be a source of strength for the entire family.
Parents-in-Law
Dr. Rajiv considers himself fortunate to have received unconditional love and affection from his parents-in-law, Late Shri Sati Kant Mishra and Smt. Bhawani Mishra. Settled in Patna, they lived a fulfilling and meaningful life, always treating him as their own son. Ritu is the youngest among their five children, and their blessings have been an enduring source of emotional support for the family.
